Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidya Vardhak Sangh® was started in June 1976-77 by Sri. Bheemanna.T Billav.The Society stood up for higher education vying with colleges that were few and far between in those days. The early days of the Society were adventure some with primitive facilities. Gradually The College became a beacon of enlightenment and boys and girls from every corner of the taluk as well as neighboring taluks streamed in quest of learning. The Chairman Sri. Bheemanna.T Billav identified this need and started 30 Educational institutions running under our society. Institutions spread across In Kalaburagi, Yadagir and Raichur Districts of Karnataka State. Primary to Post Graduate courses are available in our institution. 02 Primary Schools, 05 Highschools, 06 PU Colleges, 07 Degree Colleges, 05 Post Graduate Colleges, 01 Law College, 01 BEd College, 01 D.Ed College and 02 Hostels running by our society. It is a co-educational Society. The Society caters to mainly to the Rural students of surrounding villages of the Shorapur Taluk.
